Apple Creative Learning Series

FEB. 18 - June 3  Teachers who registered for this Professional Development experience attended every second Thursday evening from 7-8:30pm. Taking some of the skills learned in the Fall sessions and applying them to a "Project" they designed and completed as teams. Covid challenged their ability to complete their work but what was accomplished was valuable experience.

Summer Learning Academy

July 26-30 The Summer Learning Academy (SLA) is a professional learning opportunity that supports the work that Nova Scotia teachers are doing to integrate innovative and research-based practices in their classes.  SLA will model online learning and practices to demonstrate to teachers how they can bring these kinds of practices into their own in-person and online teaching. MK Teachers are welcome to Register. 

The Summer Learning Academy is continuing in a 100% online format in 2021, with two days of targeted sessions July 26-27 and three days of concurrent sessions July 28-30.

Book Creator Training

This session involved using Book Creator in a social studies classroom. If you're interested in using Book Creator in your grade or subject reach out to our team and we will arrange a PD session or a drop in session with your students. We have completed several drop in sessions to support teachers with using Book Creator.

Explain Everything

We have delivered various in person and online training sessions on how to use Explain Everything all classrooms and grades from P-12. If you'd like to see what Explain Everything can do click here.
